europe continues to be the "new frontier" in my appetite for new experiences and sights to see.   after deciding to leave my job in boise for my original post-graduation destination--seattle--a window of opportunity opened up.   without hesitation, i purchased a plane ticket to europe and jumped through that window.

first on the list was to pack up and make the move to seattle, where i deposited my belongings in storage and crammed the barest of essentials into my girlfriend deb's tiny apartment.   (it kind of made me wonder why i needed those items in storage AT ALL since i wouldn't be using them for over a month).

my arrival in seattle was timed perfectly for job hunting.   in the two weeks that i had before leaving for europe, i managed to establish contacts with 10 firms, interview with all of them, return for second interviews at 6 of those firms, receive 4 job offers, and accept one of them.   i even had to call one firm from the airplane to decline their offer.   it was a glorious feeling.

next stop.... amsterdam
